How preFind Works

preFind is the only place to go when you are looking for something on the internet.

preFind does not take responsibility for the content of the Search Suggestions. There is a lot of sick and crazy stuff out there on the internet.

And, when we index search queries based on content, it is simply a fact that we will display suggestions that some may consider offensive.

Rather than perform censorship and distort the internet, we set your preFind preferences to SafeSuggest which will filter out explicit suggestions.

If you wish to change your preferences to see everything, select the "See All Search Suggestions" filter level. Your settings remain in place until you either reset the level by clicking on the preferences link in the search box or clear your cookies.

If you are easily offended, please do not set your filter level to see everything.

Type in what you are looking for in the preFind SmartBox (TM), and preFind will determine if your search terms will work. If they will, we bring back search results from Google.

If not, preFind gives you a list of up to 300 more detailed search suggestions that will help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Find one you like, and if we think that is a defined enough search query that will bring you back good results, we tell you and and in the window to the right, we will find you the best, most popular search results from Google for that term.

Want to zoom in on more details, click the suggestion again and get more detailed search suggestions related to it.

Keep getting more detailed until you reach Maximum Zoom, when we automatically display results for you because that is the best search query you can make to get those exact results.

Use your Search Trail(TM) to keep track of what your searches were and how you got there. Your Search Trail is located in tabs above the search. If you want to look back at your search trail, click on the tabbed suggestions at the top to go back and forth. This was you can continuously zoom in or zoom out.

And, when you do a search from the preFind search suggestions list, each search term you search is highlighted and outlined, and the preFind icon turns green .

After you have finished your preFind search session, and you return, all the search terms you previously search remain highlighted in green so you can go back to what you were doing and see what you were looking at.
